DRA symposium
Nanomedicine is a relatively new field that is currently gaining steam and is expected to contribute to the future of health care and personalized medicine in a significant way. At the University of Copenhagen and other Copenhagen-based universities, biotechnology companies and health related institutes, there is a significant amount of research going on in the nanomedicine area. To make these efforts more visible, allow for collaborative projects, and share the available resources, we are organizing the already third Copenhagen Nanomedicine Day 2019. It will take place on Monday, November 4, 2019.

In addition to local leaders in Nanomedicine, we will also have a few international speakers. They include

Professor Willem Mulder, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, US Therapeutic targeting of innate immunity with nanobiologics
Professor Stefaan de Smedt, University of Ghent, Belgium Cytosolic delivery of bio-therapeutics: the struggle with biological barriers goes on
Professor Quentin Pankhurst, Director, Institute of Biomedical Engineering, University College London, UK Interstitial dosage limits for nanoscale medicines and agents
Dr. Kathy Saatchi, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada Targeting Rheumatoid Arthritis Using Nanomedicines

Programme
The final programme has been made – check it out here.

Poster session
There will also be a poster session at the end of the day, with 3 poster prizes. It is still possible to submit extra abstracts for posters – see the template here:  Template for Abstract

Participation at the Copenhagen Nanomedicine Day 2019 is free to all, thanks to a grant from the Drug Research Academy and the Lundbeck Foundation, and we will provide you with all the food and even beer during the poster session at the end of day. However, you do have to register online – but the excellent talks make it worthwhile. Please submit your 1-page abstract also during the online registration.

Online registration and abstract submission

The symposium is arranged on behalf of the graduate programme in pharmaceutical sciences, Drug Research Academy, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, by Professor Urs Häfeli, Department of Pharmacy, and co-funded by the Lundbeck Foundation.

Participation is free of charge and open for attendance by all interested parties.
