Final MultiFun 2015 Workshop in Madrid, 23-25 February 2015
International Workshop on Multifunctional Nanotechnology for selective detection and treatment of cancer
This is an invitation to the Final International Workshop of the MULTIFUN project. This 3rd International Workshop on Multifunctional Nanotechnology for selective detection and treatment of cancer is a scientific event opened to both MultiFun and external researchers. The aim is to create a suitable environment to favour scientific interactions and discussions. In addition, we expect that this Final Workshop will promote and strengthen European and international research collaborations on different topics related to nanomedicine. Furthermore, the workshop will offer an exceptional opportunity to clinicians to get closer to some of the most exciting developments in the field.
These are the topics:
-Synthesis and characterization of organic and inorganic nanoparticles for biomedical applications (i.e. drug delivery, contrast signal, heating, sensing, etc.)
-Drug and gene delivery
-Hyperthermia mediated by nanoparticles for cancer treatment
-Contrast signal for cancer detection
-Modelling physico-chemical and biological properties of functionalized nanoparticles
-Cancer (stem) cell detection and elimination
-Novel and highly specific cancer (stem) cell markers
-Toxicology, biodistribution and biodegradation of functionalized nanoparticles
